Fujitsu Services: Graduate Software Developer (Aug 2018 – Oct 2019)
  • Delivered a React/TypeScript change management solution in an Agile environment, working with enterprise customers including HMRC.
REG Technologies: Software Engineer (Oct 2019 – Feb 2021)
  • Developed RegTech microservices in .NET using TDD and asynchronous communication patterns.
  • Maintained Azure CI/CD pipelines and supported Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
GoCardless: Software Engineer I → II → III (May 2021 – Oct 2023)
  • SE III: Designed and launched GC Embed, a white‑label payments product now processing £12m+ in transaction value. Led delivery across backend, frontend, infrastructure, CI/CD, docs, and SDKs.
  • SE II: Optimised onboarding flows, improving performance by up to 80%. Improved observability and contributed to MFA sign‑up and sign‑in flows.
  • SE I: Migrated core payment APIs, maintained key platform endpoints, and contributed to frontend migration from Angular to React. Led the technical migration of payment flows serving 10s of millions in contract revenue.

  • Built core features for a private equity platform, including a TSM tax modelling product.

  • Conceived and launched the architecture of a 0–1 real-time interpretation product within two months to meet urgent customer demand.
  • Built a custom speech-to-text, LLM interpretation, and text-to-speech pipeline enabling real-time conversations between social workers and service users without a shared language.
  • Rolled the product out to 15+ local authorities, supporting thousands of conversations per week.
  • Led on-site design partner sessions and pilot rollout training with customers.
  • Defined product vision and roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Established department-wide standards for AI usage through internal tooling, documentation, and enablement.
  • Created & led department-wide quarterly "Make It Magic Day," delivering 90+ production UX improvements per day.

  • Scaled core AI Scribe usage 30x, from 8,000 to 250,000 recordings per month.
  • Designed, built, and launched Magic Reports, reducing social work report creation time by 50%, from weeks to hours.
